The Cineclub Association Bolzano was founded in 1968 due to the passion of a group for videos. At the same time, the Festival Opere Nuove was founded. Through the years, the festival was extended from a city area to a regional area and in a short time it became one of the most long-lived short film festivals of the country.

The interest of the Association for research and confrontation has never been abandoned the spirit of the Association, which has always wanted to evaluate short films and promotes this type of film. There are two festivals which the Association organises and promotes: the historic “Opere Nuove”, this year for the 39th edition and the more contemporary and interesting “No Words”, this year for the 4th edition.

The special events which are also present at the festivals are organised to promote research and development of new ways of knowledge and fruition of the cinematographic media.
